About SUNDEWS.NET

Sundews.net is a photography project focused on time-lapse macrophotography of the Drosera trapping mechanism.

In 2019 I built my first Drosera terrarium using Drosera capensis, Drosera capensis ‘Alba’, Drosera aliciae, Drosera coccicaulis, Drosera spatulata, and Drosera pulchella x omissa from California Carnivores. The project began during my sophomore year of college, after my botany professor encouraged the idea and offered me an unused 6 × 9-inch glass tank from the ichthyology department. Later on, I received a Canon EOS SL3 as a graduation gift and purchased a Canon 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro lens to experiment with on my sundews. This website is designed to organize and showcase the videos I’ve filmed.
